A larger company like that is likely to have no idea what fish they are and from my experience are not only going to cost you more but are possibly going to be misidentified or sick.

That fish on top is not a euruptus the second one is. For sure. That one on top is a neat cat however but not a euruptus

i dont want to buy a cat from that site but i do want to find out what kinda cat that is :D after i find out i can go about getting one ? that and i wanna no more about the cat before i actualy purchase one . yay back to work :D

wow i have seen fish change in small ways but wow thats kinda drastic hmmm fish it would keep the juvenile colors and patern but o well lol my biggest question is how much current in my tank do i need will the return for my filstar xp3 create enough or do i need a powerhead ? or whatever there called . o also how big do they realy get ? and will they eat goldfish fry ?

It seems they get about 8" or so. They will eat any fish small enough so gold fish fry would most likely make a tasty snack. They have been documented as aggressive but I think it depends on the tank mates. They can hold their own against larger cichlids and mbuna. I think the current from the xp3 would be plenty.

cool thanks for the info also you wouldnt happen to no if the pipe running water back into the tank through the filter should be right under the water or right above the water ?

I'd think you'd want at least 80+ gal for a Euppie. They get bulky and, like any other catfish, will eat what they can fit in their mouths. How big a Euppie mouth IS, however, I have no idea.

^^^tcarswell is totally right!!! {And I would love to know what the first cat actually is!!}

I've had my S. eupterus since he was only a bit more than an inch long.
Juvenile color seems to be close to black, with what almost looks like a line of tiny reflectors running the length of the body.
IF you can get the cat into good light -- and good luck with the juveniles!!! -- you can 'see' some of the adult pattern in the back ground.

I have had this cat since Nov. and he is now over 6 inches long, and very recently into his much lighter adult coloring, similar to the second picture.
