i wonder if blacknose catfish (or any other kinds of catfishes) would eat the pellets. Also, would catfishes eat other fish's poop?( don't get me wrong.) :D

Catfish are scavngers and will eat whatever they come across that fits in their mouth. I feed my cory catfish pellets and tablets all the time. In fact it is often best to feed them a sinking food. Don't rely on flakes with bottom feeders.

catfishes will happily accept pellets. And they may accidentally eat poop (and spit it out), but its definitely not part of their diet.

There is no fish that eats other fishes' excretion. However, most catfish are good scavengers that eat food that has fallen to the bottom of the tank and will most likely rot.

easy said than done, i need to make a decision here. see, i have two goldfishes, you know, they PEEs A LOT :thud: , i need a catfish that helps to eat their extra pellets AND helps most at getting the tank glass surface clear, ALSO that won't grow too BIG. thanks for reading the passage.

Sorry but catfish won't really help clear the glass of algae. Just buy a magnetci scraper and use it before each water change. That is the best way to keep the glass clear and won't add extra bioload to the tank.

I have 2 kinds of catfish and even though they will sometimes appear to be eating the algae of the glass they don't make any sort of noticable difference. My alage scraper does all the work for me.
