Cats to mix with ca/sa cichlids

Wanted to add a couple of catfish to my 120 gallon. Last try was a pictus catfish who I had to remove immidetly due to my jag thinking it was food. What would be a good medium sized catfish to add.

Are ther really no catfish to put in here
I kind of just want to give it more movement.

How big/agressive (or should I say territorial) is your Jag?

hes actually not too bad but he loves to eat. He is pretty good with sharing space.

Try a bigger pictus or synondontus. It all depends on the temperment of the jag. Mine is docile, 15" and lives with an 8" pleco lol.

what about 3-4 raphael catfish I also have a jd a gt and a turquoise serevum I am getting rid of my pleco in there.

3-4 raphs would do good. They will hide a lot though except for around feeding time. If you have 3-4 of em, they tend to be more sociable though. They will get in caves a lot, plus their armor will get your cichlids to leave them alone.

I wouldn't put any unarmored catfish in with cichlids, that is what I have been told anyway.
