CF Bulb supplier

Curious if anyone has used www.lightbulbsdirect.com ??

They have GE f55bx-ar-fs compact fluoresent bulbs (55 watt, straight pin, 9250K ) bulbs for $14.20 each and 6.90 shipping. I checked and the shipping on 6 of them would still be 6.90 via ups. Sounds too good to be true (compared to the LFS in my area and most other on-line suppliers) so i wanted to ask before ordering... I have seen alot of folks praise this bulb so I figured I would try them over my 135 planted....

I can't find them - can you provide a direct link? I'd be interested in ordering from them if their bulbs are appropriate for our needs.
I searched under fluorescent, compact fluorescent, base types, and more and can't see them. It is morning and I haven't had enough caffeine, maybe it's me

Blinky, you are welcome. I do hope they are an ok source because I keep hearing raves about these bulbs and since I am an "El Cheapo" kind of guy, I am going to try them ( lightbulbsdirect ) and find out. Payday is Friday the 18th and I will probably order at least 6 bulbs from them then.... I will report back with the service results. I was hoping others had experience with them before I ordered but I guess I will be the first to dive in....

i found some on ebay.4 bulbs, 10 000k 29.99.shipping to ontario was $12.i got all the bulbs ok.i will look for the store name and post later.

Most plant folks prefer bulbs ing the 5-7,000k range with most going for those in the 6-6,700k range. I have always bought my kits and bulbs from AH Supply

seems like the bulbs have a very low cri of 67. do these bulbs make the colors of freshwater fish pop??

Same as you guys, I bought an All-Glass CF strip that had the GE bulb with 9325K. I replaced the bulb with a 6700K and it just isn't the same... it appears to be greener. Thanks for pointing out this link. I'll have to bookmark it and get it the next time around.

Anyone want my 2 month old 6700K 55watt bulb? lol
