I'm changing my 55 gallon from Africans to Angels. Currently the tank is "up and working". The ph in the water is at approx 8.2.
Is that too high for the Angels? Can I just acclamate them to this higher ph without any problem ? The new Angelas will be mostly smaller size except fdor one that will be larger, jf that makes any difference.

My pH is about that, and my angels are fine.... I've only had them for about 2 weeks, but their color is great, their fins are not clamped. I drip acclimated them. The larger angel might beat up the smaller ones. I dunno, mine are the same size, but that's what I've heard.

Angels can be territorial.

that said a 55 is a good sized tank for a few angels(keep in mind territory tho)

smaller fish may be at risk with larger angels but that rule is not set in stone and may vary a bit with sexes .
btw, it is extremely difficult to sex angels short of watching them spawn.

your pH will be fine for angels. just make sure the tank is cycled.
