Missing In Action
I have finally got myself a MH setup :D A friend of mine was selling his (old) AquaMedic: Aquastarlight MH system. It is the twin MH version. Unfortunaley the bulbs(10000K) are old and one of them is burntout. I am going to change both of the bulbs and was wondering what "W" or "K" to use. I have a 95gal tank. At the moment I have button poplys and mushrooms in it. Now i have a better lighting system i want to venture into the world of Corals. Thanks in advance :)

i have been doing some research and found alot of stuff. The main thing was that alot of the info i found said that using 2x 14000K bulbs is the best way to go. What do you guys think?

BTW: its rather said seeing that the forums are almost dead, but thats a different story.

Thanks in advance :)

i dont kknow if you still even need advice.... this forum is always pretty dead but ill try giving some anyways.
what do you mean what "W"? what watts? that would depend on the ballast and socket size.
as far as the Kelvin rating, whatever you think looks best. 20000K will be very blue, 10000K is white, while somethign like 6500K is yellow. The lower the K, the higher the PAR, but the higher the K, the better the coloration would be. I have a 12000K 150 watt DE with 2X65 watt PCs and i like the combo. before i had a 20000K and i liked that too, but i jsut have a lot more PAR this way.
