While helpful, please remember it is quite generic, doesn't seem to be concerned with tank size, nor number of fish in tank, male/female ratios, spawning behavior or even food requirements for that matter.

I agree, even though I have no fish yet. That chart is where I started my list. However, that chart can in no way compare to the experience found here and at other boards like this one.
In my original stocking thread that was started at another forum, I had 2 types of fish selected that were, according to the chart, compatible. I've since edited my list due to the experiences of others here at this board.
