I was wondering, how do people get their tanks for so cheap? All the tanks I've found for sale around my area are quite expensive for their size. My 6 gal tank was really expensive, but it did come with a filter & light, and is a good quality tank & brand. And how do you guys always end up finding tanks (large ones) for free? I'd love to know.

oh, good! Just keep checking, maybe someone will add an aquarium for sale. There is no "aquarium" or "Pets" category in the For Sale area, but I just do a search for "aquarium" or "fish tank" and come up with lots of hits.
well i live in so cali LA and there is 20-30 items posted daily here. i am sure there are for sale stuff around you. maybe check out the papers.
If your after cheap aquarium stuff in Australia I'd give www.theaquariumshop.com.au and www.aquariumproductswholesale.com. I've bought stuff from both of them and most of it is less than half the price of pet shop prices. As far as tanks go buy standard sizes eg a standard 2ft, 70L tank is only $45
at big W they sell 18L tanks for like $50 bucks is this expensive? i got a 50L tank from my friend for free coz they werent using it anymore...
