cheapest lighting online?

:lol2: I didn't mean LITERALLY spend $2500. :lol2: Actually, I found one I like for around $700. I might be able to talk the hubby into letting me have that one. If it's like, my birthday present, mother's day present, christmas gift and anniversary gift for the year. :lol2:

ETA: and yes, I did see those LED lights. wooooweeeee *drool drool* :lol2:

Well, you never know. I was looking at the Solaris a few years ago when they first came out and the 24" model was $1999. So $2500 for a light isn't unheard of. ;)

I am a very impulsive person as well, and unfortunately, usually do end up like Salty420 and buying quicker than I should.. or even worse, buying what I thought was good, then reading terrible reviews after the fact.

the 48" Solaris fixtures are still over $2k. I want one, they're sweet.

well im a bit happier because looking again the lights i saw this morning were 150w MH's not 250's. so looks like i did get the best deal i could find at the time. i really need the lights so im just glad they are ordered! i ended up paying $791 for the lights shipped. can't wait to get them :)
:eek3::eek3::eek3: 791! holy crap! you can rent the sun for that much

LOL. That is actually quite normal and reasonable for the light she bought. That is why many people DIY. Probably save about $300 off that price.. but then need $300 worth of labor to install it so it breaks even, or worse if you are afraid of electrical work.

I just ordered some Blue LED's off of ebay and got some epoxy resin from a friend of mine that makes terrain models for historical gaming. I'm going to make two mini spots (I hope anyway) out of them and then mould them in resin to keep the water out of the wiring. We'll see if it works.. LOL

ohh i'd like to see that clown-lover...
and ya trust me im none too happy about spending that big a chunk of my tax refund on the lighting when originally i was going to get a hood with 2x250w MH and at least 2x54w T5's for $500. but this light (the outer orbit) is really exactly what i want so im not gonna complain too much. and this will be much prettier :)
