Check my DKH reading

13 dKH is slightly out of the recommended range (which is broad): 7 - 12 dKH.

Like 17 degrees? Mine's up there and I have no clue how to get it down.

U might see some signs of stress in your corals at 17, but it still shouldn't destroy your tank. Wut is your calcium at, i'm guessing its probably really low or possibly really high if its at an even ratio with the DKH. If calcium is really low adding calcium should bring it down and also top off with unbuffered water for a few days.

My calcium is at 400 ppm, normal. I'll try adding a bit more. I just did a water change last night, I'll see if dKH came down any.

A water change wont really help because u r adding saltwater which will have a higher DKH. It has to be just plain fresh water for top offs. Saltwater will just keep it where it is.

and i disagree with you because i have never mixed a salt batch with 13 dkh
