Rechecked the site I read arowana grew to 28" in captivity and it was 38" :duh:

Doing a bit more research on the teacup I found that even though they are the smallest of the freshwater rays, the tails are extremely long, which makes them need wider space then I once thought

Now I am looking into finding a 300g instead of the 240g.
240g = 8'x2'x2'
300g = 8'x30"x2'

The site with the teacup info says that 30" width will be fine for full grown males

I really want to include the ray, the arowana I can deal with not having, lol

What species of ray are you looking into? A male of the 3 smallest species would be ok with a 8x30 footprint but like i said watch your stock with a ray they have a bigger mouth than you realize
