Just wondering if anyone knows what this growth we are having is? Kind of looks like bubble algae, but a different colour.... Seems to be growing quite rapidly in different area's of the tank.

:look:

it is a type of bubble algae. i'm not sure of the exact species though. it grows a lot faster though and is pretty slimy. it is also harder to get rid of because it pops much easier and holds on much stronger than bubble algae so removing is a PAIN. and it is all slimy when you pop it... GROSS!

I don't mind the look of it either, but have a feeling it's gonna get out of control...

Any suggestions on removing it???

Thanks
Brandy

make sure your nutrients are low.
if you can remove any of the rocks they are on, take them out of the water and then jsut pick it off. It will be really gooey and gross. not really the type of thing you want to release tons and tons of into your tank.

Thanks, I was afraid of that... most of those pic's were of the rock that is at the bottom of the tank, PITA. AAARRRRGGGG!!! We'll do what we can I guess and keep an eye on it...

Ciao for now,
Brandy
