Checklist before I order dry ferts

Ok so before I order dry ferts from www.aquariumfertilizer.com I want to make sure I am looking at the right stuff.

From my reading on the forums here I believe I need to order 3 things.

Potassium Nitrate KNO3 to dose nitrate

Mono Potassium Phosphate KH2PO4 to dose phosphate

CSM+B Plantex to dose micros or traces

Potassium Sulfate K2SO4 to dose potassium (Needed?)

Is this really all I need? I must admit from a newbie stand point this is sort of confusing as there are 500 different posts all saying somethign a little different.

I know the macro potassium is rarely needed as the other two macros contaim some potassium in them? or should I go ahead and buy that too?

20 gallon tank
65 watts PC Flourescent 6700k (I can add another 15 watt tube if needed)
Flourite substrate
DIY Co2

Plants as of yet I have not ordered I'm getting all the other stuff in first.

I researched and found that if dosing KNO3 and KH2PO4 you may not need K2SO4 as you would be getting plenty of K(potassium) with the other 2
CSM+B plantex and possibly CaCO3 . are recommended.

Looks good! I wouldn't dose the extra potassium either. Pick up a bag of epsom salts from the drug store and add that to the mix as well.

What I use:

KNO3 = nitrates, potassium
KH2PO4 = phosphates
CSM+B = micros
GH booster = magnesium, calcium, potassium

Same here, minus the GH booster (hard water)...

So I went shopping today for tiny measuring spoons. Wal mart and Target only had down to 1/8 teaspoon. I went to Bed Bath and Beyond and found measuring spoons called Smidgen, Pinch, Dash lol. Apparently these are 1/8, 1/16 and 1/32 teaspoons. It was $2.99 for a stainless set of them.

I would also suggest getting 3 250 - 300 ml bottles to make your stock mixtures.

You can also go to a pharmacy and you can get a dosing eye dropper and teaspoon that are used for children that are graduated in milliliters if the ferts use that instead of teaspoons.
