do i NEED to have a CO2 Injection for my slightly panted tank or do all those chemical plant growth stuff u find in the pet stores ok?, if not what is the purpose of that stuff if not to substitue for the CO2

I suppose it’s like animals needing to breath oxygen and also eat food. You don’t have to have Co2 to grow plants, they will get some from the water anyway, the ‘chemical’ stuff in the shops is plant food usually micro nutrients. Seachem Excel is a chemical substitute for for Co2 and supplies carbon to the plants.
