Cherry Barb Eggs!!!! yay!

well ok... I took the pair out at about 1am ish. I'm going out of town today but they should be fine until I come back. I have some liquid egg layer food and some first bites, I think that should work for them. I didn't really plan to have all this cherry barb fry. I have several tanks they can grow in if they survive. Today I'm going to do a water change and take out the cotton ball. I'll try to do a count in a little bit. Oh it's about 7am now.. didn't sleep much.
nice. often with egg scattering fish breeders use marbles in the bottom of the breeding tanks..the eggs fall between the cracks and the parents can't eat the eggs.. after the spawn remove the parents.
thats a pretty good idea, but I'd be scared of the marbles rolling over the eggs when I tried to take the marbles out. lol I guess I should try to make something more well built.
I can't really count how may eggs but I think they kept spawning in the community tank. There is still a very very fat cherry barb that needs to spawn. But I will wait for these fry to hatch before trying it with her. Should hatch tomorrow. The eggs are all fungus free as of yet. I'm guessing 50-100 eggs?? I know they lay alot more than that but it's what I can see on the ground. If i move the plants more eggs fall out so I donno. Like I said in my earlier post the other female barb that wasn't spawning was having a buffet with them. If I can get 2 dozen fry I'll be happy.
