Crustaceans are extremely cannibalistic. Many foods designed for shrimp/crayfish/crabs include shrimp bits. So it's not as odd sounding as the practice of feeding ground up cow parts to cows (which does creep me, a bit).

i know i was just suprised at how fast they jumped on it.

Hey, just so long as you don't start a bovine community... <shudder>. My inverts get boiled meat bits (usually left over, non seasoned salmon, chicken, or other low fat meat. They take to the meat rather enthusiastically.
