Got my shrimp today...arrived happy and healthy! Hopefully my female betta won't get them, the brat. they all seemed to find hidey places tho. Hope I can start my own shrimp farm!!

Sent you a PM nursie :) I should repeat some of that here pertaining to Bettas.

This is an assumption on my part since I never actually saw my male Betta eating little shrimp, BUT that fish was the most persistant hunter (again, I'm assuming he was hunting lil' critters, including baby shrimps) I've ever seen! I often found him wedged at gravel level in the thickest tenellus or sagittaria planting at which I thought he was dead. Closer observation revealed he was looking around. He would wiggle and move ahead a little. He would dart forward sometime too (he must have been going after something!). From this, I would advise people to watch their bettas if they are keeping them in a shrimp grow out tank.

Glad to hear you got 'em nursie! Anytime :)
Thank you!

Thanks to all that have shown interest and purchased them from me!!!

i am planning a tank right now and have yet to get everything running etc.

i plan on having small fish namely neons, and pygmy corys.i have been advised that cherry shrimp are good for cleanup.

will they get along with the other fish?

also i havent seen them anywhere in stores here and would like some definitely when i get my tank running.will u absolutely not ship to canada, ont?

thanks!

Hello new2tanks, yes the shrimp will be fine with those fish you mentioned. They barely get to 1" long.

I stopped shipping to Canada b/c it takes so long even with the supposed 4-7day ship method. After a 14day shipment (with few or no casualties...was a while back) I decided not to ship to Canada anymore. Once the weather warms up a bit, if you're still interested, I'd be willing to give it a shot. I couldn't guarantee live arrival.

There are people on aquabid in Canada. Perhaps an email to a few of them would lead you to a closer supplier?

Best of luck!
Bill

Hey beviking, buddy, I need some cheery shrimp. How long do you think it would take to ship to VA?
Thank you.

i find on aquabid, they want to sell me a huge supply of shrimp (like 50)....and i cant find any right now that are actually in canada.all seem to be US sellers...

i think i will take you up on that offer when the weather is warmer....i wouldnt want a large amount of shrimp maybe 6 or so.i hope i dont lose all 6 on arrival.

i will definitely contact u later.thanks,
N.

Yuri! What's happenin' !?! Hey, shipping to VA would be 2-3 days. As long as I get payment by Sunday night, I ship 'em out Monday morning so you get 'em Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday of that week! Just let me know when and how many.

No problem N.

sillyputty (and everyone else) I do have what seems to be plenty atm. Some juvies have grown and more are on the way so fire me a PM and we'll go from there!

Thanks!

Bill
