I've done this many times. Moved what seemed to be a not as desirable shrimp to my community tank, where you'd think they would not want to be as red as to not stand out, only to watch them over time become a very dark red. I have never been able to figure out why. You can also now move her back to the other tank (and in my experience) she will keep here dark color.
