Cherry Shrimp

The people I have talked to say they multiple with no problems. They are in shrimp only planted tanks.
Where I purchased my shrimp there were in with plants and there ways hundreds of babies all over the tank.

Well if these particular Shrimp reproduce so dar readily why are they so expensive? I mean, if I buy 5 or 6 mixed sex, I will shortly have enough to sell to LFS' and make profit quickly. Am I crazy or does it seem like the shrimp who reproduces the easiest should be cheap?

They have not been around very long and in high demand. I had to travel a little over an hour to get these guys. A fish store closer That Fish Place, just started to carry them about a month ago.
