I'm not sure how we're managing to avoid it....but we're supposed to be +14C/60F for the weekend!!! woohoo!

gladly.. remember, for the time i was in the military, i was in an area to appreciate such weather. ;)
 
Work and -19 seems like a bad combo...

Bellum. We do indeed have "weather persons" and they really have three things to report on:

1) Summer: How many consecutive days of 100+ without rain it has been (but its dry heat). We're all AC'ed here regardless, so the heat is less of an issue as some would like to make it.

2) Summer monsoon season: When it starts, how much rainfall, and how stupid people are for freaking out when the road is merely wet and/or trying to drive through flooded washes leading to their rescue.

3) The rare occasional storm that actually brings us snow down to the ~3000 ft. level (yes, we actually can get a dusting here).

On the whole its exciting weather but very predictable and rarely anything other than a delight to deal with.
 
School was two hours late today...but it was still -15 by the time I got to school at 930...

Supposed to reach the 20-30s this weekend and back into next week luckily. Stay warm all you people east of here, that cold air is a doozy...
