Chili Rasboras won't school

i have 9 cardinals and 23 neons in a moderately planted 55g with 3 bolivian rams and i rarely witness any schooling behavior. most of the time the tetras are spread out evenly in the lower 1/3 of the tank and will be right next to the rams without any issues. one thing that seems to help is having a powerhead to supply current which they like to swim against as a group

Thanks all for your advice. Looks like I'll just have to accept them all doing their own thing. Stunning little fish anyway so I'm not that unhappy.

I'm very happy that they're happy in my tank but, to be brutally honest, they're not doing their job :grinno:

Aren't flying foxes a bit huge? I thought they got up to 6 inches? What do people think about the LFS suggestion of a dwarf cichlid? I thought these could be rather aggressive and also a bit sensitive re: water conditions.

I kept a Bolivian ram in a 55 g planted peaceful community tank. He was a doll and everyone got along. The top level of the tank had Congo tetras & dwarf rainbows & at one time Bleeding Hearts too. Very peaceful but no real tight schooling of the smaller fish in the tank.
