Chiller questions...

The search function's currently not working nor can I go back and view my own posts so I apologize for starting another "chiller" thread.

Anyway...I really need to get one ASAP and am wondering other's opinions of good brands. Also, which type is better- the drop in (I think it's a coil kind) kind or the hang on the side kind?

Artica chillers are good. there are some bad experiences out there with drop in and i dont know of any good HOB chillers...the inline are the best really.

Sorry, I didn't mean HOB (I don't even know if they make those).

Anyway, I was looking at this:

Does this look okay? Anyone know of this brand or quality?

The only reviews I could find were referring to modified versions and cooling CPUs.

ok lol they do make HOB but yea...lol
via aqua makes very good products but i didnt even know they made chillers. im sure it would be just as good as their other products though.

I have an Artica inline chiller, it works great. A buddy of mine had a drop in and he wound up getting rid of it after about 4 months because it was not keeping his 55 gal at a consistent temp.

I know Chillers are a big hit to the pocket book, but if you are going to get one, you might as well do it right and more importantly, ONCE! Artica is the way to go!
