China Wrasse

Awesome Fish! Glad I didn't see this guy when I was buying my sixline or that would have gone into my 75 gallon. Of course, that would have been cool too, though. Think he/she would do okay with a sixline, and yeloow tang, being added after them? 7 month established tank, soft corals, lps, and planned few of sps(after a year, of course.) Thanks!

I think a China Wrasse is more than capable of keeping a 6 line in check.. after all, the China can grow up to 9".. about 3x as big as a 6 line. Mine is a little more aggressive than my leopards... a little more "twitchy" and likes to dart around the tank real fast at times, scaring my other fish when it does that. The China wrasse also picks at the sand quite a bit and can spit sand onto rocks/corals, although just a little, nothing like a diamond or bullet goby does. Overall I am very happy with the China wrasse.. always the first one up in the morning and last one to go to bed and always super active.

Whoa! Glad I asked. Probably not the best fish for my tank, then. Almost completely peaceful, tiny fish. Thanks, for letting me know! I'm torn, between adding a new fish, and leaving my current stocking level. I would love to add an Anthias, but don't think it would work. If I could find the Bartlett's? Anthias, maybe, since it's small, but I believe it's a deepwater fish, not so great for a brightly lit reef. I don't know. Maybe I'll just wait, and see what the LFS comes up with. Have you seen the new type of firefish? They have a picture of it on Reefbuilders.com. Very cool looking!
