After you break the bond with the chlorine you have the ammonia left over. How do you get rid of this ammonia from the water.
 
consumed by bacteria.
actually, I believe, the ammonia is bound by chemical reaction making it less harmful..usually adding a hydrogen to the ammonia making it ammonium..which is then consumed by bacteria.
 
I add my water treatment at water introduction....decant 12-16-oz tank water in tank only cup, add treatment to cup, aim water stream into cup for intro of water treatment and water at the same time. I, like Mgamer20o0, add for full tank volume.
