Hello. I was hoping for suggestions/advice on choosing fish for my 50 gallon. Right now the tank is housing some mbuna, which I'm going to be getting rid of and getting the new fish in a few months. (The reason for getting rid of the mbuna is that even after having them for about 3 months now, they are extremely skittish and spend 95% of their time hiding... they will dart out quickly to grab food when I feed them and that's about it... if I make any sudden movement near the tank they dart off and cower in their caves. So I don't get to enjoy them and they can't be very happy like this - I figured it was better for all to sell them to a LFS that specializes in cichlids).
Since it was set up for the cichlids, there's a little limestone gravel in there. It also doesn't have enough lighting for much plant growth. So I'm looking for interesting, reasonably active fish that don't need plants and can take fairly hard water. I'm interested in a community tank, peaceful or semi-aggressive hopefully.

Sorry, haven't been here or updated my sig in awhile. The malawi tank's been running for nearly 3 months now.
