chost crab id and care needed

My friend gave a ghost crab which i am keeping now i need to noe how to keep them they are from south east asia , thks for ur help there are some pics below

actually i put them in a tank now with salt water , half of their height , i don't noe how much water they need thats why i need some help

hmm, well i dont know a lot about them, but i will try to help you out as best i can.
ghost crabs are terrestrial crabs mostly, but like all crabs, they need saltwater or at least brackish water. This is only a temp setup? You should take a normal tank, and put a lot of sand in it. Push it so it is gradualy sloping downhill. Then fill it up with water so some of the sand is above the surface, but there is still room for the crabs to completly submerge themselves. Then you can add other things like plants, driftwood, and the likes for them to hide around and find a place to call home.

you are oging to want to add it out of the water. then replace it, or just add more.

sorry, that is pretty confusing. lol. Dont add the salt to the water already in the tank. Before it mixes it could hurt your crab. Im saying miz some salt water in a seperate container with a powerrhead. Then just either replace that water or just mix it to a higher salinity and add it in to your current water. Im assuming you have another tank? Or are you stickly a freshwater person? If so, you can just take some of the water out of there and add it, that will lessen the chance of an amonia spike.

actually i am more of a tarantula, scorpion and reptile person used to keep marines like yellow tang, clown fishes, pipe fish, seahorse, lionfish, puffers and sharks but that was like when i was 13 lolz, after that i went totally exotic but just a few days ago my friend gave me this pair of crabs lolz which is really cute yup i just mix some marine salt for my crab will be adding it in tml when i decorate a nice tank for it thks .
