hey this is grins' son, 18
as far as games that he would like i would sugest guitar hero 3, its out for ps2, ps3, Wii, and xbox 360, and rock band has a 360 version as well.
as for a different game, i would sugest forza 2, if hes into exotic cars and racing then this is a great game, complateley realisic looking with car custumization in mind, has eveything from everyday cars to cars like ferrari and lambrogini, to formula 1.
o and about the post above mentioning the guitar i would stay away from the walmart and target brands (known as First Act) as you tend to get what you pay for, i have a cousin whos fretboard is pealing of the neck (very bad) , and go for a local music store and buy a starter pack from ibanez or fender (fender calls it the squire Phat strat pack), they tend to cost more ($250 instead of $150) but are way better made and come with decent equip for a starter, althought i would buy a new cable right away as you can get decent ones for like 10 dollars as the original cables tend to create a lot of background hum and white noise, this and a tabature book of his favorite band would be a great idea

Thanks for the tips dude! unfortunately guitar heroes is sold out everywhere I've checked. Not sure about Rock band. gonna check it out.
I'll check out Forza ... it's a possibility...
he has an electric guitar already. His parents go him one a couple of years ago after buzzing around with mine for a little bit. lol . . .

what about a ripstick? its like a snowboard/skateboard sorta combo with two wheels....would be good for the city and is a good gift for an active/athletic kid
that looks cool actually! perfect for his birthday though . . Which is in June. Way too much snow for him to use it anytime soon.
