Does anybody have ideas for a variety of different cichlids that could go together in a 75g tank? It would be nice to have more than one kind, but if that won't work any kind that will do ok in a group, and are somewhat biggish, would be nice. (I don't want 20 fish, small groups are good.)

you are probably looking at fish in the 6-8in range? I think firemouth cichlids would do well. if you want some smaller fish with different territories kribs would also look nice!

Central American cichlids..
Salvinis, Firemouths, Convicts, Dempseys

My variety of fish is doing quite well.I have had them all since november, except the tinfoil barb, wich i added three weeks ago.

I really love all of these kinds of cichlids, if I wanted to use a variety of these cichlids then how many could I fit in my tank?

Well, if you're wanting to keep each representative species together in your 75g you could go with:

1 JD
2 Firemouths
2 Salvinis
1 Con

Just beware that most cichlids get extremely aggressive when spawning and rearing fry...that's why I would avoid pairs of Jacks and Cons in the community setting...though Salvinis can be just as bad as Cons depending on the parents' personality. Divide up the space well and keep the water clean.
