Hi All. Totally new to this game & just got ourselves a 42 gallon tank with 6 cichlids. (3 Labidchromis & 3 Blue Acara) Only had them a week & had to change one Blue as it became extremely aggressive to a femaile. That female has since been hiding in a small cave & only comes out to eat, tho only eats very little. Is she pregnant & what should I do? Appreciate any guidance guy's.

If keeping both sexes of malawi cichlids (the labs) you need 3-4 females per male otherwise a single female can easily get targeted. For the blue acaras I am not familiar with their interactions between the sexes so someone else could enlighten you on what is going on.

Also, as blue acaras are south american cichlids they do not mix well with the labs which are african. I would rehtink that stock.

If I was you Ide consider taking the Blue Acara's back and stick with the labs. Also dont say pregnant since fish dont get pregnant they become gravid people here get urked when they ask if there fish is preg or not. Just for future reference. =)
