I'm looking for advice on which cichlid(s) I could possibly add to my current 37G (same L/W as a 20G L) tank. It currently houses 10 cardinal tetra's and 5 panda cory's, and they have been living happily in the tank for about 8 months now, with 0 deaths and no problems (other than some green water when i started it up).

This was my first 'community tank', and I was wondering if there are any small cichlids that I could add to the mix (maybe a pair) that wouldnt make lunch of my other fish.

I was looking through aquabid and saw a few nice looking dwarf's that I would love to purchase, but I have no idea on their temperment, the only cichlid's I have ever kept are large aggressive ones in my big tanks.

This is a planted tank if that matters, the sides are pretty heavily planted with a large open area in the middle.

Thanks!

a pair of keyholes would be fine, and you could increase your cardinals and cories as well, 4-5 more tetras and 2-3 more cories.

any of those three would work.
Keyholes(Maronii) tho not true dwarves are relatively small. they do have a reputation of pack hunting at night..but I have never experienced that.

Rams(Bolivian or Blue) another good choice..I lean more towards the Bolivians as they tend to be hardier than the blue..but if you can get blues from a local breeder they would be fine too.

Apisto's another good choice.
