Hi all, I've been reading a lot in this forum and have decided to go with a cichlid tank. I'm very open at this point. Right now my tank is cycling and it will be a while before I start adding my intended species of fish. A little info...I have a 150gal, dimensions 5X2X2. It has a sand bottom and three large pieces of driftwood along with several fake plants and a couple of rock formations (I'll try to post a pic as soon as I can). Out of the tap the pH is around 7.2 to 7.4 and the hardness is 9 dGH. I would really like to entertain species of cichlid that would appreciate this type of biotope. I'm thinking maybe Central American...I really just want them to be happy and healthy. I've thought about many different fish including Firemouths, Convicts, Severums, etc. Your input regarding the future inhabitants of my tank would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Jamie
