Cichlids in tropical community tank?

So a full grown Angelfish can't defend himself against a measly Gourami??

I'd say they are a disgrace to cichlids then , lol.

I guess I got a bunch of bogus info on the internet because everything I read said they are fine with gouramis. I'm going to work to get rid of the Redtail and Gourami, they are a pain in my ***...I'm sick of thier agressive ways.

I'd say that depends on the species of angel..and if they are spawning.

altum's for instance can be quite aggressive when they need to be. the wild angels tend to hide in the plants and structure..and make an appearance when they need to.
Altum's tend to be very difficult to keep.
get a big enough tank and get a school of angels. or discus.

generally tho angels tend to be peaceful..unless you get one that decides it owns the tank.

also in general..mixing angels with gourami's is not a good mix..tho some tend to be peaceful except other gourami's..dwarf gouramis tend to work..
