These cichlids were found in the Rocky River near Cleveland OH.
One of our Cleveland Aquarium Society members forwarded them to the group for ID.
I'm thinking they may be juvie Yellow Labs, don't look right to me for apistos, what else could they be?

Any comments on their ability to overwinter also appreciated.

Thanks for your help
Don

Look like they'd make really good baitfish with that high visibilty.

you should make you a small trap or buy one set it up in the creek and see what other kind you can catch. then u might know what it could of spawned with, who know u might catch some other cool kinds of fish

They look like african hybrids. they were most likely released early this year and bspawned but I doubt they can or have overwintered before. They are very pretty, maybe you should go collect some and give them a proper home!
