I'd say gboltons probably trying to gently let you know that's it's probably most of the reason that you're loosening fish. I'm not really sure how many gallons per hour that pump turns over but the bare min is 3 times. I however try for at least 5 or 6 times more would probably be ok to in reason," don't really to worry so much about it being too much current it doesn't even get close to a tide change IMO. Just be sure to watch out for some of your more fragile inverts and don't put them into a direct flow. If there isn't much dissolved oxygen in your water it makes you fishes weak and more susceptible to other conditions like parasites etc. Kind of think of as climbing about 1/2 up MT Everest and trying to do all the stuff you normally do at normal pace. I'd Imagine most of your o2 exchange is occurring at the interface area in the top part of your tank and the more water turbulence " within reason and watch out for flooding your floor :emb:", the better for all your guys.

with the aquaclear 500, and the maxi jet 1200, thats 750 gph. is this good? or should i buy something else

i plan on it, just that cant be the reason my fish are dieing is it??

yeah, theres gotta be something that i am missing... oh well, we will see how it goes..

I don't think that your circulations why your fish are dieing either Cas. I wonder if you have a cucumber or some other sort of critter that's poisoning your tank? I 've looked at a few of your post here lately and wonder if ti might be something in your water are you useing ro/glass distiled h2o? I know it might be just a bit far fetched but you might even be getting a metal build up in your tank? I don't know just a blind quess but, it may be worth it to check it out.
