I have a clam, most die pretty quick. I've had one that has lived for about 4 months. Every morning I wake up expecting it to be cracked open and dead. Once a week, when I'm cleaning I dig it out of the sand.
Other then seeing it's little feather thing sticking out of the sand, it is the most boring animal in the world. I would rather stare at a rock.
