I was browsing ebay ... go ebay ... and came across "crazy clam shrimp." I'm thinking, no. This is sooo fake.

Well, they aren't.

I'd like to get some but the site says they only live 2-3 weeks on average. However, they produce a ton of eggs. Do they breed fast enough that I'd get more than one generation?

Also, would they do okay with small shrimp and snails?

I'm going for an invert only tank.

Try researching triops. There is a large amount of information about triops. They should do fine with any dwarf species.

Triops and clam shrimp are not the same thing.

You might be abel to keep those clam shrimp so long as you can keep them fed and don't keep them with fish, which would just eat them.

I had never heard of these until this thread which inspired me to look them up and try to research them. They are interesting, but it seems like there is not all that much info out there on keeping them or experience keeping them. You should def keep a journal of it on here if you decide to keep some. I would love to see how it goes. :)

No they aren't but they are both primitive types of shrimp, that have not changed for many thousands (possibly millions) of years.

Triops also eat everything in their path, including dwarf shrimp. This is supported by many keepers of triops. Triops can be ruthless killers of shrimp!
