I found a ton of huge snail shells at a local lake and I first soaked them in bleach then rinced well then boiled them in salt water... Is that good enough to kill all the bad stuff so not to harm my fish?

there were some stinky nasty crap inside all of them

Yea they smell better now... Right up untill i boiled them they stunk like something dead. And all of the brown stuff boiled off of the shells leaving them a pearly green color... They look great.

Are there snails in it...

HMMM?! are there snails in it.....soaked in bleach...boiled.... not sure many snails could survive a bleach bath followed by a hot dip....

Sorry, Just ribbing ya, ;) thought this was too good to pass up.....

Ha! Maybe he just made some funky escargots :D Mmm, the taste of bleach is considered a delicacy in France  No offense meant to anyone of French heritage! They're just the only people I know who like escargots.

Slowlyburn, the pearl green color sounds lovely. If you could get pictures of them in your tank, I'd love to see it. Do you have any shell-dwellers who will take advantage of them? Can't tell if you avatar is one, looks like a Altolamprologus compressiceps?

They sound like a shell-dwellers palace! They'll be inviting the neighborhood cichlid babes over to party. "Hey, baby, wanna check out my new pimp pad? Yeah, it's pearl green. Very hot this season. I know someone."
