clean up

Not sure if I've done the tank a favor. My goal was to have no stem plants in my tank and to try and get away from the jungle look.

Beautiful tank. Your before look is better than my clutter now. I too am looking to get away from stems. I know that many variables exist when considering keeping algae under control. I have had stems since I started planted tanks a year ago and so far no serious algae. I attribute this in large part to the stems and the plant mass I can achieve with them. I am still a newbie! Keep us posted and good luck!
