A friend suggested I get a a cleaner fish for my tank to help with algae. I only have a five gallon tank though (it has 3 neon tetras in it now) and every fish I find says it needs a 10 gallon tank, any suggestions? Thanks.

Neon tetras are kinda small for a 5gal,ever think about switching the out for maybe a betta or something? Other snails I might try are nerites and MTS.
BTW they love exploring and will move around pretty fast for snails. My black mystery snail was so curious he got out of my tank and was on my ceiling looking at me >.< So make sure you put some weight on the lid if your snail looks like he wants to get out =P. (they can live out of water for a week so don't panic if you don't immediately find them)
Nerites work wonders, and won't breed. You'll only need a couple for a 10 gallon. I never saw them at my LFS; I ordered them here in the marketplace forum.
