I have a 30 gallon tank: 30lbs lr, 4 inch dsb, lots of current, bak-pak, and quite a few polyp colonys (hitchhikers), 80 watts NO lighting. Water quality is good, tank has been running for about 8 months now without a hitch.

current stocking is

15-20 various hermits
2 margaritas
2 turbos
sandsifting star
serpent star
2 peppermint shrimp (who liquidated minor infestation of aiptasia in 72 hours)
a blue damsel
and my girlfriends personal favorite, a large skunk cleaner shrimp

I want to get a dwarf lion ( i can get a 4 inch fu manchu cheap), but girlfriend would kill me if the cleaner became food. the cleaner is right now the size of any lion i would find, but is it guarenteed to be food?

it would not only eat your shrimp but a lot of your other inverts would be fair game to. The lion will eat anything that will fit in it's mouth and their isn't much that won't fit in it's mouth.
sorry
