cleaning a decorated tank?

i have a couple of pieces of driftwood in my tank, and i was wondering, how do I gravel vac under and around them? they are pretty big and aren't that easy to move, cramped.


:OT:
is that little clear hair like stuff growin on the front of mi tank where the out put of my water is directed towards algae?
 
If you could get a gravel vac with a really short tube end on it it would help a lot with manueverablity. You probably don't have to clean under the wood every time you vacuum just maybe like once a month.

It could be algae. Is it growing anywhere else in the tank? Perhaps it came in with the driftwood? That's what happened to me, because I bought driftwood with a plant on it so I couldn't clean it that well.
