I am having a bout with cyanobacteria. I have made some changes and the problem seems to be less on rocks and glass.

I am having trouble removing it all off the plants. Is there an advisable way to remove algae from anacharis? Bleach dips were not recomended for this plant. I was thinking an toothbrush, with not-so-stiff bristles, to lightly brush it off the stems.

Is there a better, easier, or safer to the plant- way of removing the algae?

Would the plant survive and algae die if put into fresh tap and left in a window for a few days?

Right now I have it in a Q-sodabottle on my window sill. It is so healthy I don't want to destroy it!

Oh well never mind.
I cleaned it with a tooth brush.
Thanks anyway.
