I searched the forum but could not find anything. What is the best way to clean green algae off fake plants and rocks? I have set up new decor in my tank and am able to take all the algae decor out to clean. Any products that you guys/girls recommend?
Mix up a 20:1 bleach water mixter and let them soak for awhile....rince a few times and then soak them again in fresh water with a good dose of water dechlorinator to remove any bleach that might still be on there.
I use to have this fight every few weeks.. till in another forum I read the tip to use baby bottle sterilizer (Milton). It made it so easy to come off. As an extra I left the plants out in the sun for a few hours and what was left turned into dust. Since then I have not had anywhere near the problem I had before.
