I picked up a few boulders from a landscaping place last year and I haven't gotten around to clean them until now. I'm just wondering what the best way to clean it is...they're pretty big so just placing them in a pan and boiling it in hot water isn't an option.

Thanks

rubbermaid or sterlite type plastic tub...don't know for sure what's available in canada. I think it's muriatic acid that people use to test to see if rocks/substrate in question is inert or not. If it fizzes, it's not.

bleach and water or white vinegar and water are good to clean with

hyrdogen peroxide is useful for cleaning and disinfecting as well and is aquarium safe

Glad they're too big to boil. You take a risk of shattering rock flying around. It's so much safer to scrub, soak, rinse, repeat.
