cleaning up oscar poo

how do you guys do it? once they get big so does their poop! im filtering a 75 gallon at about 800gph and i have to syphon it every few days.

Its a never ending battle im afraid -- I got a 125gal and I have two Aquaclear 500s filtering it and I still do a 30-40% water change on it every 5-6 days. Its all worth it I love having big fish>

you havent found anything that will eat the stuff off the bottom? i have my water very clear and all, its just their poop is so big!

They make vaccums that suck the stuff from the bottom without changing the water. If they dont sell them in your local pet store, try a catlog company like Big Als or Liveaquaria.com.

I just net it out, its so heavy and large, it cuts down on water changes, I still change the water once every six to ten days though.

i siphon it every 3 days or so......thers no solution
