Hi all,

I just bought all 10 Clithon corona ordered by my LFS today. My willpower was really drained.:nilly:The moment I received a message from the LFS owner he got some snails and shrimps for sale, I freaked out in excitement and rushed over to his shop. They're half an inch as described by the article below.:22_yikes: Has anyone tried them? Will horned nerites be fine with Pomacea bridgesii especially the newly hatched ones? I would assume though the spikes will damage the brigs' shells, no? They're in another tank at the moment but I really prefer they stay in my heavily planted tank occupied by the brigs.

P.S. Rachel, I might be getting tiger and skunk shrimps as soon as my wallet fattens up.:D These horned nerites nearly made me broke, thanks to my wishy washy willpower.:irked:

Congrats on the pic up i have five of these little cuties ,three are in my community tank with a ruby nerite, one is in the shrimp tank with a zebra nerite and the last one is in the livebearer tank with another ruby nerite.

They roam the tank scavenging but i pop in courgette, green beans, cucumber and algae wafers for them i have even seen them eating bloodworm if they get there quick enough!

I decided to try placing them with my brigs. Their mollusks stick too hard, I kept freaking out because they are hard to pull out. They seem to really stick to my skin the moment I touch them.:silly: Also had to pull the poor juvenile brig after two nerites stuck themselves to it thus it could not move around properly. One male gold brig tried to do a snorno with the unsuspecting nerite. Poor nerite. The brig simply walked off to a female gold ahead of him after trying repeatedly.

Mine hitch a ride on the ruby and zebra nerites all the while so do the shrimp! My zebra has eggs on his shell from one of the clithon corona laying them while riding on his back :)

LMAO! Oh, Faun, I find it amusing nerites lay eggs on other snails' backs. I haven't forgotten the episode with someone's snails here laying their eggs on her ramshorns.

It does look really funny and there is no way they are ever coming off! I have tried to remove nerite eggs from driftwood before and they are impossible to remove scrubbing and boiling did nothing they must be one of the stickiest substances ever.

congrats lupin! they are great snails. I have about 50 of them right now. They do fine with bridgesii. Their food of choice is algae, I haven't had huge luck supplementing them but veggies would be your best bet.

I still have more orders from another LFS. Though I don't know yet what snails they are ordering, I have a shrewd idea they're nerites which I'm definitely going to grab. Thanks for the help, Rach.:)
