Have a pretty established 10 gallon...light stock...couple guppies and a dozen ghost shrimp. PLENTY of filtration... a Top Fin 30 gallon filter and a Whisper-style 10 gallon. Water param's look great, but its still cloudy about 2 days after I do a water change...not REALLY thick, but just an unpleasant cloudy look. Any ideas? I'm thinking maybe an algae bloom? What could I use to treat it if that is indeed the case? I know I should be less concerned because i keep testing the water and the results are good...but its just not nice to look at...thanks everyone.

I get this as well especially after a heavy vacuuming of the gravel. It does clear up after a day or so and things return to normal. I did notice that I was overdoing the water conditioner and that helped the cloudiness somewhat, but I still get it more often than not. As long as the water params look good I would just tweak certain things about your cleaning routine here and there if you want to. But...if the fish are healthy, why chance it?

I use stress coat, i usually use prime but stress coat was recommended to me so I switched about a month ago. I have just your standard black gravel substrate. No I don't clean my filters every time.

i had the same problem in my 29g i figured it out after about 2 weeks i bought a plant hornwort and put it in my tank without cleaning it in fresh water before i put it in my tank it taught me a lesson you do learn from mistakes

I still cant figure this out...12 hours after a WC the tank is cloudy...I'm confused. Should I post pics maybe tonight after work? Idk if it'll show up good enough though.
