Hello Everyone,

I have a 10g. filled 3/4 with 4 acf. The tank is cloudy, I changed 1/2 of the water. It is still a bit cloudy. I am using a Fluval 1 plus filter. I do feed them live tubifex worms. Am I overfeeding?

Thank You.:help:

Yes the set-up is new, about 2 weeks old. I do have a test kit, which I haven't used yet. Thank you, I will test the water.

The cloudy water is due to a bacterial bloom which is very common in new set ups. Once the bacteria that is forming during the cycle of the tank(I am assuming you are in the middle of a cycle) figures out where it will best serve the tank, the water will become crystal clear again. However, this could take anywhere from 2-8 weeks. Water changes will not help get rid of the cloudy water but do still keep up with the water changes as part of your normal tank maintenance. I would also test the water since you will need to know where you are in the cycling process of this tank.
