A week ago today, I moved my tank from home to my dorm, bagging everything - the gravel, the fish, the plants, and brought around half of my water with me. I have tested my water twice, and while nitrates remain a tad bit high (I'm working on this by frequent water changes) but everything else remains in safe ranges. My water has been cloudy since I moved the tank, possibly from the flourite I layered in when I moved (and removed the UG filter) and has cleared out partly, but the last of the cloudiness hasn't gone away. Perhaps adding Stress Coat instead of just tap water conditioner. Are there any suggestions for clearing out the rest of the cloudiness? Before the move of the tank, it was crystal clear, so this is driving me nuts.
On another note, my betta tattered his tail on the clip for my heater, so I've isolated him and begun treating him with "BettaFix Remedy" for fin rot, and the tattered bits of his tail fell off so now his beautiful tail is really short. Should I just keep treating him with the BettaFix, or should I change method of treatment?
