Several days ago I whacked back my plants in the tank.
Did a water change, and that sort of thing.

Obviously the tank would be cloudy after that, so I just left it to settle.

Here it is something like 5 days later and the tank is STILL cloudy.

Whats up with that?

Its not a green type of cloudy (Like algae). Its more of a white type of cloudy.

I use some algae chemicals in there to keep the algae down, so this is not algae.

What can it be and what can I do about it?

Most likely bacterial--the algae were probably consuming some nutrients, and by killing them off, a bacteria strain that consumes the same nutrients is now going crazy with all the 'new' food available. They'll probably wear out the nutrients over the course of the next few days--I'd probably just live with it until then. It's probably not harmful to anything, just ugly.

Well, I never had an algae bloom of any kind. There started getting some spots on the glass so I have been adding it so I do not get a algae bloom.

What do you think it could be and how should I fix it? It has been 5 days!

The algae were still consuming something, and when wiped out, that food source became available to the bacteria. I wouldn't do anything--5 days is a pretty short time period, and wiating it out is the option least likely to result in yet more unintended consequences.

i had the same problem and did a 50% water change every other day for like 5 days and that worked (3 water changes total.) on the 7th day i had crystal clear water and it stayed like that.
